FAITH YTH Adult Leader Expectations & Commitment
Dear FAITH YTH Leaders,
God has given us the privilege of serving the next generation. Our role is more than filling spots — it’s about loving students, leading them toward Jesus, and creating an environment where they can grow.
This year, I want us to commit to serving with excellence, consistency, and purpose. Below are the roles and expectations for our team. If this season of life doesn’t allow you to be ALL IN, it may be wise to step into a different area of service within our church.
I am grateful for each of you and your heart for students. Let’s lead together with joy, unity, and vision.
— Pastor Chance
Small Group Leaders
Lead a crew of students in a 15-minute discussion after Wednesday night service.
Listen to each week’s topic/questions/sermon and guide students to apply what they’ve learned.
Build relationships with your crew outside of group time — check in, encourage, and pray for them.
Be at every Wednesday night unless sick or traveling (communicate if you must be out).
Food Team
Help prepare, serve, and clean up snacks/meals for FAITH YTH events.
Arrive early enough to have food ready before students arrive.
Work together to make food service smooth, welcoming, and a positive experience for students.
- This need only arises every so often, but please be actively involved when you can!
Trip Leaders
Let Pastor Chance know when you are interested in going on a trip.
Must be actively involved at Faith Church and FAITH YTH to be considered for trip leadership. If you are not involved in Goldsboro, you will not be connected for future trips and I want the teens to know who is on the trip with them!
Be willing to help with supervision, logistics, and spiritual leadership during trips.
Greeters
Arrive earlier than 6:15 PM to create a welcoming atmosphere before our 6:30 PM start.
Greet every student with a smile, learn names, and connect first-time guests to leaders/students in their age group.
Help set the tone for the night by making students feel seen and valued.
General Help
Be involved consistently, even if you’re not in a specific role.
Step in where needed — setup, cleanup, talking with students, helping with games, or filling gaps in other teams.
Support the mission of FAITH YTH by being present, encouraging, and willing to serve anywhere.
